Pokemon Brown is one of the oldest and most historically significant ROM hacks in existence, originally created in 2004 by Koolboyman. Set in the Rijon Region — located south of Johto — it was one of the first hacks to feature a completely custom region with original maps, a new Pokédex layout, and five new Elemental Types not found in the official games.
