Pokémon Yellow

Pokémon Yellow — the anime tie-in edition — normally mirrors Ash's early journey with Pikachu as your forced starter. In this randomized version, your partners and wild encounters are completely shuffled, but the unique Pikachu events and Gym Leader dialogue unique to Yellow remain. A familiar story structure with a completely unpredictable Pokémon lineup.

Yellow's enforced Pikachu starter is replaced with a randomized Pokémon, but Yellow's unique Gym Leader scripting — Brock, Misty, and Lt. Surge each referencing the anime — adds story beats that distinguish this from a standard Red or Blue randomizer. The rival's Eevee evolution path is also randomized, so you won't face the same Eeveelution you'd expect.
