Pokémon Diamond Extreme Randomizer takes Sinnoh's 493-Pokémon pool and randomizes typings, evolutions, level-up moves, and abilities on top of full encounter randomization. Sinnoh Gym Leaders known for strong, focused teams face you with Pokémon that no longer have predictable types or move coverage. The Underground remains explorable for extreme-randomized fossil Pokémon.

Diamond's physical/special split means extreme-randomized movepools interact with Gen 4 mechanics — a move's physical or special categorization is preserved even when it's assigned to a Pokémon that wouldn't normally learn it. Revived fossils from the Underground have extreme-randomized typings and stats, making Diamond's fossil system an extra source of unpredictable team members.
