Pokémon Outlaw is unlike any other ROM hack on this list. It's a FireRed hack that follows a 15-year-old homeless orphan living in the Kanto slums — not a wide-eyed hero heading off on a grand adventure. The Kanto you know is here, but populated with crude, violent, and darkly funny NPCs that reflect a much more realistic (and insane) version of the Pokémon world.
