Pokémon Ultra Violet is a quality-of-life improvement hack of Pokémon FireRed with one primary goal: let a solo player catch all Pokémon from the first two generations without trading. In vanilla FireRed, version-exclusive and trade-evolution Pokémon require a second game or trading partner — Ultra Violet removes that restriction entirely.
